Local Area Information

Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Course is very close and for cyclists and walkers The North Sea Trail and NCN 1 are almost on the doorstep. Embleton has a very traditional hotel and inns serving locally sourced food, there is also a small convenience store in the village which is less than a mile away.

The historic market town of Alnwick is a fifteen minute drive. Alnwick is dominated by its medieval castle, which recently found fame as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. The Alnwick Garden is world class attraction and a 'must see' for visitors of all ages.

The Northumberland National Park is within very easy reach on quiet country roads, further afield but well within a day's outing are the Scottish Borders and the cities of Newcastle upon Tyne and Edinburgh.
